This year the AFSTA (African Seeds Trading Association) congress was held in Dakar, Senegal, on Feb.28th – Mar.2nd, with 300 delegates from 41 countries (both from Africa and worldwide) attending this annual event. The congress, whose participants included international and African seeds companies, also hosted meetings of the ISTA, UPOV, OECD associations.Hazera participated as an exhibitor and members of AFSTA, with a booth in which we presented our products which are especially suitable for the African market. Our team included: Mr. Antoon Santegoeds, Head of Commercial, Mr. Jawdat Badawieh, Head of Sales and Manager of Africa and Middle East, and Ms. Eveline Jacobs, Commercial Assistant.
Hazera’s strategy in Africa is to continue its development and growth in East African countries, and to advance activities and operations in West Africa. The congress offered us a wonderful opportunity to host many participants from Africa, including companies, farmers and dealers. It was also an excellent occasion to further strengthen our relations, network with the local growers, customers and NGOs and learn more about the markets and new trends.
